JOB DESCRIPTION
Receive food and beverage orders from Captain and relays the orders to kitchen or bar then pick up the orders from the kitchen or bar and serves.
Assists Captain in serving food and beverage to guests.
Observes, anticipates and accommodates guests needs or request.
Cleans and set tables, replace linens, remove dirty dishes from dining room to stewarding area, sorts dishes on sorting tables.
Brings clean tableware and glassware to service station.
Cleans, replenishes supplies in and arranges service station, trolleys or carts and food and beverage storeroom, cleans and polishes dining room equipment such as glassware, trolleys, ashtray and fold napkins.
Keeps the side stations tidy and make sure that they are well stocked.
Greet guests as soon they enter the outlet. Assign seats to guests and present the menu. Serves ice water when guests are seated.
Have thorough knowledge of the outlet menu, how the items are prepared and presented and of the appropriate condiments to accompany the items.
Answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage, services and up sell in a diplomatic manner.
Always check personal hygiene and appearance. Maintain a friendly, neat and pleasant appearance at all times.
Report any breakage’s or missing items that belong to Food and Beverage Department to Captain or Supervisor.
Attend daily briefing, before starting of the shift. Find out what items are not available on that day, any promotions, reservation or VIP schedule.
Perform any other duties as required by the Captain, Supervisor or Manager.
Be familiar with hotel fire evacuation and emergency policies and procedures.
Comply with hotel policies and procedures.
