JOB DESCRIPTION
To assist the Senior Security Officer in the field operations of the Hotel.
Preventing unauthorised persons, including staff who are off duty or found to be intoxicated, from entering the Hotel premises. Report to the Duty Officer, if encountered, for follow-up action by HR Executive.
Ensuring that staff display their staff I. D cards before entering the Hotel.
Issuing of Contractor Pass for contractors .
Inspect handbags/parcels and ensuring that they do not bring in cooked food or fresh foodstuff, inflammable items, playing cards, liquor or dangerous weapons. All such items are to be seized as exhibits and refer to the Senior Security Officer/ Duty Officer together with the errant staff for investigations by the HR Executive.

Attending the briefing session at the Roll Call Parade which shall take place fifteen (15) minutes before the commencement of each shift..
Receiving and recording details of all reports, complaints, requests etc. that are referred to him for assistance.
Attending to all such reports, complaints etc. through the Senior Security Officer on matters requiring security attention to deal directly with the service personnel on other matters pertaining to escorts, general maintenance, assistance etc.
Recording all transactions and activities involving the Department in the Occurrence Book.
Preventing all unauthorised persons form using the Service Lifts. Reporting all incidents to the Senior Security Officer/Duty Officer for investigations and follow-up actions.
Keeping surveillance on human traffic to the guest floors, lobby, driveway, main entrance, staff entrance, guest lift etc.
Maintaining peace and order in the area under his charge.
Floor patrolling every two (2) hours and update log book record.
Prevent the following undesirable elements or items form proceeding of being brought to the guest floors:
i. Calamities (transvestites) who generally have a notorious reputation for criminal tendencies, irrespective of whether they are escorted or otherwise.
ii. Known pimps an prostitutes
iii. Members of public and ex-staff who have previously committed crimes against the Hotel.
iv. Deliveryman and messengers unless escorted by the Front Office Staff
v. All animals
vi. Any form smelling fruits or foodstuff e.g. durian, belacan etc.
vii. Preventing vehicles from unauthorised parking at the Hotel’s main entrance driveway.
viii. Safe guarding the Hotel’s properties i.e. telephones, decorative items, etc. that are on display in the area under his charge.
ix. Attending to guests needing assistance.
To carry out any other duties as may be required by the HR Manager and Senior Security Officer from time to time.
